I vini Cavallero sono vini di confine

The imprint of the land, terroir, climate and tradition determine the character of a wine. Cavallero wines are born on the border between two worlds: between hills and sky, between the Langa Cuneese and Langa Astigiana, between tradition and future.

The hills around Vesime, a stone’s throw from Roccaverano, Monastero Bormida and other villages perched on the hilltops, along a strip of land that separates the vineyard landscape from the greener and wilder woods and hazelnut groves, are the home of Cavallero.

Here on this piece of land, which has borne witness to historical events and a tenacity that you simply must have if you come from around here, we have been making our main wines for forty years. Dolcetto, Moscato, Brachetto and Barbera: but also Nizza DOCG, Baratuciat and sparkling wines. Friends who come to visit us and appreciate our wines ask for something new from time to time.

Tra due mondi, tra boschi, noccioleti e vigne, Cavallero fa vini di confine

At Cavallero we are committed to respecting the rhythms and rules of nature. We see attention to environmental defence as essential: this is why we have chosen to limit operations in the vineyard and cellar to the minimum.

This land and its fruits have been precious to us for over 500 years. Today, like yesterday, respecting them is the best way to allow them to continue expressing themselves with a wide variety of voices and suggestions.
